We have power! Almost this entire panel is dedicated to the new lab and incubation space… We did a lot more planning this time as we have a better idea of what we need. We are also building a very large root cellar that will have a dedicated space for spawn. It means we can then place partial orders in the root cellar instead of purchasing a large fridge. Overall, the root cellar will reduce our emergency consumption. We spend a lot of time at the farm figuring out ways to reduce our fossil fuel use and work on alternatives.
We are going to build a ramp into the building (the building is higher than we planned… this was due to the limitations with the screw piles that support the building). Otherwise, the outside is almost finished!
