Outdoor Mushroom Cultivation Tours
Curious about growing mushrooms outside?
Come join us for a tour and learn about our cultivation experiments on our farm!
During this approximately 2 hour tour, you will get to see our outdoor mushroom cultivation experiments. These include:
- log stacks
- wood chip piles
- compost piles
- garden growing
- greenhouse growing
- hoop house growing (coming summer 2018!)
We will also show you our lab and inoculation room! This is a great opportunity to talk to us about what we are doing and how to do it yourself. This tour is at Akesi Farms. For directions, take a look here: http://www.akesifarms.com/how-to-find-us/ The farm is 90 minutes from downtown Calgary and 90 minutes from Red Deer. We have no food/drinks for sale so please bring snacks with you.
This tour is limited to 10 people to ensure we get enough time to answer all questions!
